Soif Wine Bar & Merchants has presented a dining experience highlighting the finest local and organic ingredients and purveyors alongside distinctive and expressive wines since 2002. Working with seasonal and sustainable products is core to the philosophy of the restaurant and team, who are advocates of programs to protect natural resources in and around Santa Cruz.
We are a family run Italian restaurant. Our food is influenced by our Sicilian heritage and New York roots. Executive Chef Chris Moreno honors family recipes as well as offering a variety of fresh and creative additions to the menu daily.Matt Moreno manages front of house operations and is a Certified Sommelier.
Opened in December 1992 in a circa 1928 building, owner Paul Cocking transformed the interior into today’s romantic space. Gabriella’s continues to cultivate strong relationships with local farmers and producers and put the restaurant at the front of the organic sustainable movement.
